c. One-rescuer CPR.
d. Choking.
e. Wounds and bleeding.
f. Shock, unconsciousness and fainting.
g. Fractures
h. Burns.
i. Head and spinal injuries.


Who Should Attend:

According to law every registered Company in South Africa should have a First Aid representative in their Company.


Course Outline:

1. Minimum Compulsory Content
j. Principles of first aid and safety; emergency scene management.
k. Artificial respiration.
l. One-rescuer CPR.
m. Choking.
n. Wounds and bleeding.
o. Shock, unconsciousness and fainting.
p. Fractures
q. Burns.
r. Head and spinal injuries.
2. Minimum Duration (Including Evaluation)
a. 2 Days
3. Theoretical and Practical Training and Evaluation
a. Training on a 50% theoretical and 50% practical basis.
b. Evaluation on at least 30% theoretical and 70% practical basis.
c. Compulsory CPR evaluation.
4. Certificate Validity
a. Maximum 3 years.
5. We are a registered company with the Dept of Labour with CI 050 as registration number and only make use of qualified Paramedics, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, as instructors.

Terms and Conditions of Registration

¨ A substitute delegate is welcome at no extra cost, should the delegate be unable to attend.
¨ Delegates may transfer their registration to another course, once at no charge - provided we are informed at least 5 working days before the course. For last minute transfers or transfers made inside of the 5 working days, a late transfer fee of 20% will be charged.
¨ You may cancel your registration, in writing, up to 7 working days before the course takes place. Cancellations made inside of the 7 days will be liable for the full fee.
¨ Unfortunately, no refund or credit can be given to delegates who do not attend without giving prior notice. Delegates who do not arrive for training on the day and who have a valid excuse - will be transferred onto the next course and charged a 20% transfer fee – only one transfer is allowed per delegate.
¨ Please note, once your registration form is received, you will be issued with a tax invoice. Payment, or proof thereof must be received on the first day of the course. Delegates will not be permitted entry unless payment has been received, or unless prior arrangements have been made with SW Academy accounts department for late payments.
¨ Susca Watts Academy reserves the right to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances
