SAAF TURNS 90	February 2010 / Issue 7
BE MY VALENTINE Apart from Valentine's Day on the 14^th, former president Nelson Mandela released from prison 20 years ago on the 11^th February 1990, SAAF is also celebrating its 90th birthday today, 2^nd February. The world's second oldest air force is apparently our own South African Air Force (SAAF). It is actually turning 90 today. Do yourself and your family a favour by visiting the SAAF Museum in Pretoria, Valhalla Swartkop Airfield. Click here for details... I don't usually do movie reviews but I have to make an exception. A new movie, SKIN is the real life story of a Piet Rietief girl Sandra Laing, born black to white parents and all white grandparents. I was quite touched watching Sandra's documentary. Go view this award winning movie, and DON'T forget your box of tissues. Read more... Finally, a man from Cincinnati and his son (Jim and Alex Tobergta), have teamed up to walk 30 miles to raise money for Mamelodi Township. Read more... Remember to check the February events.
