Newlands Pharma Valu Pharmacy Review

Yesterday, 21 January 2010 I went to the Newlands Pharma valu pharmacy in Pretoria.

I took a skin care day with an oil attached to it. Underneath this product the price was R84.00. At the cashier however I was charged R275.00 for the product. I complained, but they all blamed one another from the shelfpacker to the supervisor.

The manager came and I insisted to have the product at the price that was underneath it. He did not want to do that.

How fair is that and what can I do? If something is advertises at 1 price, I am expecting to buy it at that price.

Thank you, but I am afraid the apology will not do the trick, I insist on buying the product at the price that it was marked at on the shelf. In fact if this was Pick ‘n Pay I would have received the product for free, I know because I experienced that at the Menlyn Retail Park. I am not trying to see how much I can get for free, I am just trying to get shop owners and workers to use the right prices underneath products or to mark the products individually on each packet, bottle etc.

Customers are often misled and then surprised as they get to the cashier; I am asking why the customer should pay the price for wrong price labels, while the shop should be doing that?
