What the conditions for doing that.

The International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC) as informed by the International Trade Administration Commission Act (Act 71 of 2003) uses a permit system to allow the import and export of goods in and out of South Africa.

The commission prescribes which goods may be imported into South Africa. There is a set of tariff codes that deal with the specific goods. Importation of sensitive goods are highly regulated to protect the consumers, the industry and to ensure the alignment with the environmental requirements SA’s international agreements.
