Mbini's Review I visited Grootfontein Country Estate a few times before my stay at a house that is available for rental. Yes, the owner wanted me and my family to test drive the home they are now letting for rental. That was me, my hubby and my two kids. The house is on a 1 ha plot with plenty of space for kids to play. We had all 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms at our disposal. The 3 living areas make for privacy whilst the massive kitchen and separate scullery make for an aspiring chef. A huge office/study along the private hallway is next to a sewing room as the owners are laymen clothing designers. I really enjoyed walking outdoors or just standing at the balcony to get some clean country air. The balconies in the bathroom are conveniently located for the owner to monitor swimming children in the heated swimming pool. The domestic also has servant's quarters for personal use. With all this, we were made to choose an en-suite we want to use. A difficult choice but we made ourselves comfortable in a bedroom which is separated by a shared bathroom with another. Makes it convenient for parents and children to sleep in such an arrangement, just like in a hotel suite. I loved it. This house is available for rental, for R25 000 or $3000 per month.
