The college claims to give students a values-based education underpinned by excellence. Self-discipline, independent thinking and the development of a positive self-image are inculcated to allow pupils to learn their full potential.

The school’s Co-Curricular Programme provides a wide variety of both sporting and cultural activities. They aim for all students to have a rewarding and healthy experience of the programme. They give their learners the honour of representing their school.

Their Sports Department is following the Long Term Athlete Development Programme. The core principles of the programme are Improved Performance, Lifelong Participation and Physical Literacy. They encourage a Mass participation sports policy, in response to the sedentary life of their constituents. They hope that through this mechanism, they could achieve the core principles of the programme. In 2008, they opened their 64-bed boy’s Boarding Residence, Hill House. The main goal of this is to bolster the present sporting numbers. They also provide various cultural activities like co-curricular music, ensemble, chess, drama, art, choir, first aid club, debating, library assistants, JSE game, redenaars, olympiads, exhibitions, public speaking, sound, lighting crew, toastmasters, outreach, science and technology.

They do believe in traditional values: loyalty, integrity, responsibility, smart appearance, courtesy and service to others. A proactive Outreach Programme extends the awareness of their pupils beyond the classroom. Cornwall Hill College supports many causes and reaches out to interact with their chosen disadvantaged communities.
