Centurion Christian School in Centurion

Centurion Christian School is one of the combined schools in Pretoria East with both primary and high school. It is also one of the Christian colleges and schools in the Raslouw area of Centurion. Please check our full directory for public and private schools in Pretoria below. Founded in 1997, Centurion Christian School came from a humble beginning: three Level 0 children in a garage. In 1998 the School moved to the premises of the Apostolic Faith Mission in Rasslouw.

In 1999 the School moved into the newly built facilities on the same premises. In the year 2002 the school's facilities were further expanded to host more than 130 children. Now, CCS has more than 200 children.

Initially the School adopted the principle of organic growth, but now accommodates children of all grades. The School also uses the School of Tomorrow learning and teaching support materials and entrenched its use in its Constitution. Centurion Christian School is a Parent Body School and functions within the following policy framework:

A local body of Protestant Christian families and teachers holding to the interpretation of the Bible which is commonly known as "Evangelical". An educational non-profit organisation, independent of any control of any other school or church organisation; and pursuing the OBJECTIVES, based on the STATEMENT OF FAITH.

Sporting opportunities are maximized through affiliation with SACSSA (South African Christian School Sport Association) and provincial sporting institutes. We also make use of other local schools' sport fields to provide additional opportunities for training. We chose soccer, netball, hockey, cricket, athletics, table tennis, chess, volleyball, and cross-country as official sports at CCS. Cultural activities have grown in leaps and bounds over the past few years and learners take part in the Centurion Art Festival, the Tehila Competition, etc

At CCS staff maintains high standards of behaviour in the Learning Centre through kindness, love, and a genuine regard for the learner. However, when disciplinary action becomes necessary, it is carried out firmly, tempered by good judgment and understanding according to the Character Guidance Route.
