Sunnyside Vibe

Observing the Sunnyside Vibe on a Saturday afternoon! Feels like everyone has a great time. Youngsters are all in the streets. Unlike in the surbubs, where everyone is behind high walls.

Is it because these youngsters don't have the fear of crime? Do they just have to be outdoors, shopping, partying, etc? Are they just ignorant to what is happening?

Whatever the reasons... these are the people who enjoy the Jacaranda City. I look at their faces and see joy, peace, freedom. And when I go to my own gated community, I feel some security but not the freedom I saw in Sunnyside. It is the Sunnyside vibe, the way some of us use to experience.
