Are the schools in Garsfontein not working for you? I know only Afrikaans public schools in the suburb but Faerie Glen, Menlo Park, Waterkloof Glen, Lynnwood, etc are close enough. If you are looking for English schools, you may have to look in a neighbouring suburb. I have a few suggestions below.

They will depend on what direction you want to drive in the mornings. If for instance you are driving towards town, you may look at schools in Lynnwood, Hatfield, Brooklyn, etc. Looking for schools can be tricky when you already have a home. Here are my suggestions though and I will star with schools in Garsfontein:

Hi,Thank you for showing out the various schools in our region. I am also in Garsfontein. Having 2 children, boy 5 and girl 8, I am now looking for another school for my children as I am not convinced that the school they are and will be attending next year is the best around. At this stage I wish not to say where they go. I know is late in the year, but is there anyone who can recommend a school (private or model C). I am desperate at this stage, and will surely struggle to find space for them for next year, but we will try.

Sorry to hear that and Welcome to Pretoria.

If its public schools you are looking for, you have to explain to them that you are late because you just moved to your new home. Gauteng admissions closed quite early this year. But people like your family should be accommodated. Especially if you did not know that you would be moving to Pretoria.

Private schools normally take new learners throughout the year. Unless off course they are full. What area of Pretoria are you? You might have missed on alternatives.

The only school on my road to work has reached its limit for that grade , and now I stand a chance of loosing my child because my ex decided that I cannot put him in a private school which is my only other option.
