Rates and Taxes in Pretoria East

Hi, I am thinking of relocating from PE to Pretoria East, and would like to know what the rates and taxes in Pretoria East cost?
Is it calculated per m2? If so, how much do you pay per m2?

Hi Deborah

The same municipal system used in PE applies in PTA and PTA East. It ideally varies from house to house, but that would be difficult for the municipality to work out. The simpler solution was that, they valued one property per street/ small area and assigned the same value to "similar" properties in the same area.

If you know what size property you want, it would be easier to get an estimation. This varies with the home type and finishes too. But if you want a townhouse for instance, it will depend on the size, garden, garages, then the exact area. Its really not easy to give a generic response to your question.

Again with townhouses in Pretoria East, levies vary with the age of the sectional title scheme. Please give us specifics. You may click on the link below to respond.
