Milky Lane, Centurion Mall

As a kid growing up and even a young adult now, ice-cream is just one of those things you naturally love and never get over.

Milky Lane in Centurion Mall is, now was - our ice-cream spot. I have fond memories of the place, embarrassing photos, memorable parties and even a preference of where I’d want to sit - in short I practically love the place. I’d always order the classic Milky Lane waffle, where I’d unevenly spread my ice-cream like butter and generously drizzle over strawberry syrup.

However, yesterday afternoon this all came to a sudden halt.
We went to Centurion Mall to do a bit of shopping, and as we were about to pass Milky Lane from the usual entrance we always enter through, there was an unexpected coldness that embraced my body as my eyes lay upon the closed doors, lights off and the very popular “Milky Lane” sign taken down.

It seems that Milky Lane in Centurion Mall (next to CNA) has closed down. Even though I could not confirm this with a notice, and whether it is just renovations that will be taking place. By the look of it I think I’ll have to find a new ice-cream spot and make new memories.
