American International School of Johannesburg Pretoria
Catering to students from pre-kindergarten up to grade 12, American International School of Johannesburg Pretoria (AISJ) takes the academic calendar of the northern hemisphere which is from August until May. The campus in Pretoria was established in August of 2002 with only 14 students from Kindergarten up to Grade 2 but with the popularity of the name of the school plus South Africa with the most embassies and the highest commissions in the world, it’s not surprising that more and more students are now enrolled in this great school. AISJ focuses on improving the extracurricular and academic programs in the campus to support its vision of inspiring the students’ imaginations and provide them with knowledge and skills needed to take on the opportunities and challenges to come their way.
When it used to take only one bus to get all students to the campus, today the school is already looking at more than 300 students with the possibility of having more in the next coming years. There’s already a new school site which AISJ found in 2010 and is very spacious and well landscaped with lots of trees in its surroundings. There are a lot of programmes provided for students to ensure that kids are able to develop self-confidence, improve their skills and for them to meet new friends as well. The Pretoria campus is one of the best there is among all schools in the area with so many great things to offer for students and their parents. If it’s quality education that parents are looking for, the way to go could be AISJ.
